saiyan names... are produce?

I read something about the names of saiyans a while back. Apparently a lot of names are a variation on vegetables pronunciations from english to japanese.

For example Broly, is Broccoli.

Bardock, is a Burdekin; its a weird produce I haven't heard of.

Goku aka Kakarot, is Carrot.

Paragus; Broly's father, is a Pear.

and Vageta, is Vegetable.

isn't that weird?

It's Vegeta, not Vageta. =P

But also Radditz is a Raddish.

Trunks is well... he's only have.. his full name is Trunks Briefs. Odd how he doesn't take Vegeta's last name (if he even has one).

eh, typo. But isn't that crazy his name is the first half of the word vegeta/ble.

I also read that besides being named after produce, they used that as a color scheme.

Goku the Carrot, always wore orange as his attire. Until GT of course.

Broly the Broccoli, had hair modeled after the shape of broccoli and was given the green glow.

EDIT: Goku vs Broly was also a variation of Broccoli vs Carrots. XD
