† Mute point
I know that this is meant to be for computer issues, but I thought maybe someone here might be able to helpIn my truck, a 1983 ford ranger, my headlights no longer work. I parked it, turned them off, and when I went to drive again, they won't turn on. Parking lights still work, so I know it isn't the fuse (Already tried playing with the headlight fuse, and it turned the parking lights off if it was removed) I've tried searching on my own, but all I can find is techno-babble about replacing relays and switches, but nothing to tell me where the relay would be, or even if there is one on my truck. The switch might be bad, but I want to try other things before attempting to wire in a new switch. My mechanic friend is out of town, and I really want to fix this without taking it to a shop.. Anyone know anything about fixing this issue?
ZeroPenguins
Hmm I can't really say but it could be your light bulb that has pop since you either have some corrosion on the plugs or which will short circuit. Happens a lot since water enters those areas. Or who knows it might of just died out on you, you just have to buy new headlight bulbs.

ZeroPenguins
Easy way is to use a multimeter and test if the cables still works, like if 12v is still going through.
