Anubis
Here is the deal, I got A decent collection of anime that ive gathered or downloaded over the years , but there are huge variations among them they range from 1080p to small encodes no more then 60mb.. Now i wanna put all my stuff into order and make them uniform.I wanna reduce the file sizes to no more then 100mb but at the same time keep as much as the "quality" intact as possible, Dad told me that when u do original encoding from the source u have the option to reduce as much as the size u want and still ur encodes wont suffer but when u reencode u give the video a heavy beating. I disagree may be cuz i dont know much Im new to all this so i want somebody to please post a guide line so as how to use handbrake to get the best results in a 100mb video ...Please also give details about how much the parameters are to be set and keep in mind that im re-encoding mostly from 720p or less so what factors should i change and to what values.. When you starve bit-rate quality will always suffer. No such thing as decent looking 720p mini-encodes. If you're going to shrink the encode and starve the bit-rate your best bet is to also shrink the resolution (but most mini-encoders fail to understand how encoding works and thus are frowned upon by proper encoders). I'll be no help with this as I stay clear away from mini-encodes and do not archive any nor do I encode any. Skylord would probably be more helpful if you tried contacting him.
