Dartril
To help me build my skills with 3DS MAX, I will be happy to attempt to make any thing that is suggested here, please note that character/animal modeling I do not know how to do. Any sketches or picture references would help greatly.
lemmingllama
Try a character from Black Lagoon, like Revi or Dutch. Google images should give you a significant amount of pictures if you need that kind of thing.

idl12
Can we haz tank? http://www.wired.com/images_blogs/photos/uncategorized/2008/04/16/450_cp_tank_leopard_061202.jpg
mintymilk
i agree with idl12 - i think a tank would be a nice project to work on since you don't know how to model characters. i remember taking a 3d modeling class where we started off by making a bouncing ball and a jack in the box toy. Dartril
Its not detailed but it was for an assignment, so I just needed it to fill time in the animation.
mintymilk
wow!! that looks amazing Dartril!! have you ever tried to model a character before?
Dartril
No I havent, the course that I finished did not start character modeling, the next course I'm doing will though, right at the start. I know I could do a tutorial for it but it would take quite a long time, and to do one of a character would take even longer.

Dartril
A basic rocket?
lemmingllama
Whatever you want. Maybe a shuttle too if you want challenge?
Dartril
A rocket it is little challenge. a shuttle, a little more but still not much. will whip one up after the enterprise is done.

Earl
Have always had a huge amount of interest in character development. I've got to give this a shot in the near future.
