Far as I see, is a lack of an introduction (which as you have kindly pointed out, happens a lot) and I'm trying to find out more about a new member by encouraging them to post more about their interests and hobbies.

The thing is, they post these topics, see that nothing happens and then leave the site. So posting this over and over again makes you look like a tool tbh.
