[Solved] Media Player Options

I have been using VLC to play mkv files and other non wmp compatibles, however, VLC occasionally freezes up/tears the screen/ skips parts of the clip for no apparent reason. Is there a better alternative as far as media players go?

Every single player ever made would likely be better than VLC. It's that bad and it does not play HD files in HD (it downscales to SD then upconverts again to playback the files easier on slow PC's to make it seem like it works better).

I'd recommend Media Player Classic - Home Cinema which is part of the Combined Community Codec Pack @ http://cccp-project.net

Thank you sir, I am surprised I didn't stop using vlc earlier (especially after is screwed up all all sorts of icons).

P.S. Is there a post requirement to add an avatar? Or an i looking in the wrong place (user cp).

There is a 5 post requirement to be able to edit your profile (includes avatar and signature) and to view the download section.
