So if anyone can recommend any obscure anime series (Welcome to the NHK is one of the best series I have seen in a while)/places to post it would be much appreciated. How about Outlaw Star, Full Metal Panic, Baccano!, Samurai Champloo, Black Lagoon, Gurren Lagann, and Darker then Black. Also NHK is great in all three forms, a thoroughly engaging story. Ty for the recommendations L4ugh, I have never heard of any of them, Area 88 looks good.
