RikuoAmero
Hey guys,I'm sharing an apartment and the room-mate pays the bill in her name - we split the cost. Anyway, we have Eircom Broadband, using their DSL router/modem they supplied, and it keeps disconnecting from the internet. There are some days where it doesn't, but today has just been terrible, it keeps dying every few minutes. Of course, this makes it downright impossible to Skype or play MMOs. What I end up doing is leaving the room, going to the kitchen (where the phone line is) and turning it off/turning it back on by the power switch. Is there something I can do to help this? The room-mate sent off an email to Eircom, no reply so far.As an aside, can I hold Eircom liable if I'm unable to play my paid for MMOs...although I doubt I'd survive in court, just something to think about.Just note guys, its the router that keeps disconnecting, not my computer. † ballard
How long has this been going on for? It sounds to me like you have a bad modem. Have you called your isp and asked them to replace it? Also, are you connected through an ethernet cable or wireless?

Also, are you connected through an ethernet cable or wireless?I'll be giving them a call on Monday, and I'm using wireless, although that shouldn't make a difference, since its the modem that keeps disconnecting from the internet, not my computer from the modem. † ballard
You should definitely call them. Tell them what's been going on, and ask them for a replacement. Hopefully that will fix the issue for you. I know how frustrating it is for this to be happening.
