Koby
The North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on today that it licensed the ongoing No. 6 anime series. According to the press release, Sentai Filmworks will distribute the anime on home video next year with additional digital distribution outlets coming “soon.” Crunchyroll currently streams the anime outside Japan every Friday. Sentai Filmworks offers its past products through digital outlets such as iTunes, Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, Zune Marketplace, The Anime Network, PLAYSTATION Network, and YouTube. No. 6 is a post-apocalyptic, mystery anime series revolving around a young man named Shion (voiced by Yuuki Kaji), who houses another young man named “Nezumi” for the night. Nezumi (voiced by Yoshimasa Hosoya) is on the run from the authorities and disappears by morning — only to reappear four years later to rescue Shion from arrest. Together, the two resist capture and attempt to uncover the secrets of City Number 6. The anime is adapted from a series of light novels penned by Atsuko Asano and illustrated by Hinoki Kino. The series continued for nine total volumes from Kodansha since its debut in October of 2003. Asano also wrote novels that inspired the 2006 The Comedy Team manga and 2008 The Telepathy Girl Ran anime. Source: Kametsu
