Koby Posted July 2, 2011 Report Share Posted July 2, 2011 The North American anime distributor Media Blasters confirmed that its Bakuman. license includes the second season of the anime. Media Blasters announced on Tuesday that it had acquired Bakuman. Media Blasters' AnimeWorks label will start releasing the anime on DVD this November with the first seven episodes and an English dub.The second season is scheduled to begin airing in Japan this fall. The new season was first announced in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine last December.The original manga that inspired the anime was written by Tsugumi Ohba and drawn by Takeshi Obata — the co-creators of Death Note. The story centers around Moritaka Mashiro, a junior high school student who is persuaded to work towards becoming a manga creator with the encouragement of two classmates.
