Wii U immediate reaction

I don't really want another generation to come. I'm quite happy with the current one, besides increasing graphics capabilities is just gonna increase costs of development, and developers are already struggling.

I want a new generation to come out not just for graphics but for more processing power which would allow more destructive environments or maybe just allow for more people in a single online match the current system generation has been out for about 6 years now i think its been long enough

I do like the changes that Nintendo made for this one and I think the fact that its backwards compatible is enough to sway me to get one.

I imagine that's going to be the typical response from a lot of gamers. Same with the 3DS and probably the Wii itself.

anywho, iv heard some desturbing things about the Wii U during conversations with gamers. I havnt done much research after speaking with them, but from what iv heard, Wii U might not be as epic as i first thought. Will see if i get some time to go dig up the dirt....

To be honest this console is disppointing to me. It is reverting back to controller form which I don't like.

The wii was the best because of its motion controller but changing it back to a touch screen controller seems pointless to me.

My initial reaction upon hearing the name is: "Do these people not have a marketing department?" After that I was concerned that their tech demo of the bird looked rather pixellated and had distance fog. Not exactly inspiring for a console people claim is more powerful than PS3!
