Hardsubs ways?

How do you hardsub MKV files (H264) with out lossing or increasing its size. well increasing at max of 5mb would do

You can't do it without decrease in quality. Why? Because ANY and EVERY time you encode a file it looses a bit of quality which is why everyone suggests to encode from the original source each time instead of encoding from an encode. Of course to most people the quality loss isn't noticeable, but it's still there.

As far as file size goes, well honestly unless you increase the bit-rate you will gain fuzz around the subs often when hard-subbing. Therefore it often requires a higher file size. You can always test it out, but honestly I have never had a reason to bother with hard-subs.

It's soft-subs all the way for me.

You have to use avisynth to encode hard-sub into h264. I use to have a setup of VirtualDubMod with DirectVobSub plugin to hard-sub but it was only compatible with xvid and thus needed avisynth to make it work with h264. As for the script, I can't remember.
