Shiki - A WTF Ending!?

Yeah, you heard me. Despite being one of my new favorite anime, i just think they ended it rather abruptly. For one thing, what happens in the aftermath of the village being burned down?

What's the fate of Natsuno and Natsumi?

Was the guy driving the car in the last scene Sheisin?

Argghhh, Does anyone know if they're planning to make any OVA's for this show to clear some of this up? I mean, this is the first vampire story i actually liked and was able to watch all the way through without dozing off in the middle.

It's clear enough as is.

Tatsumi and Natsuno were killed and then buried as Natsuno planned.

Seishin drove away from the town.

The village goes on.

You must need to go back and watch the last two episodes because if that wasn't clear then you missed something.

There is two specials going to be released though titled 'episode 20.5' and 'episode 21.5' that will be on the dvd/blu-ray and might show a little more.

I think while the ending was sudden, it answered everything clearly.

well, i watched the last episode again just now and i'm a little clearer on what happened.

Seishin turned into a werewolf and put Sunako in that box and took her somewhere else, taking on the duties of Natsumi.

However, they still didn't show Natsuno and Tatsumi die in that explosion. Besides, don't you have to cut off their head or drive a steak through their heart to kill them? Would a dynamite stick be enough?

I checked and it seems the manga is ongoing so is this an "original" ending like the one from FMA?

His name is Tatsumi according to MAL, I can't remember what subs I watched used. I'm pretty sure dynamite would have blew them completely up. Natsuno did originally say to the doctor that he planned to die when it was all over, so I'd say it would be safe to say he wouldn't stop till Tatsumi was dead, then make sure he died afterward if they did manage to live through the dynamite which I don't see being possible. Where in did you get that Seishin turned into a werewolf? I'm don't remember him ever actually dying. Maybe I too need to go refresh.

Ah, now that you mention it, that's a very good point indeed. Seems reasonable. I can't believe I missed those hints.
