RikuoAmero
Okay, I've got PS3 Media Server up and running, and it works great, just wish I could turn off subtitles on my dubbed anime...but I'm not gonna complain about that.Okay, like the title says, I've got 1080p video files, namely the Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. that was uploaded here a couple months back. Only, its slow and the audio is about 30-40 seconds out of sync. As you can see from my signature, I've got a Radeon HD 5770, and a Core i5 @3.2GHz with Hyper Threading, so I should be able to handle transcoding on the fly (shouldn't I?)So...is there a way for me to speed up transcoding? I'm on a Wireless N network (wireless computer and ethernet cable Xbox)...at least I think I am. The router does all four 802.11 modes, a+b+g+n, but is there a way for me to switch it to N only? It's a Thomson model no: TWG870UIR. I've tried typing www.routerlogin.net into Firefox, but I get switched to Netgear's website for some reason... s0teric
you wouldn't happen to be talking about the ozc encodes I uploaded... lol. follow this guide http://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/755244-play-mkv-files-on-xbox-360-without-transcoding/once ur done demuxing, though, you'll have to downconvert your ac3 5.1 sound to ac3 2.0you can do so with mencoder. Get megui here. put it in your audio input and choose the aften ac3 scratchpad. Hit config and choose to downmix multichannel to stereo under output channels. All the other settings should be good. Then just remux the vids into an mpeg2 transfer stream like it says. Those are basically bluray files. Windows media center plays these files natively so no transcoding. But I got a bluray player that plays mkv files natively and I can stream those files no problem via dlna server. If you want to stream HD content like that without remuxing and downconverting I recommend a good streaming bluray player.
