Dynasty Warriors: Origins is the upcoming installment in the Dynasty Warriors series coming soon in 2025. It features a new take on the main series where the main focus will be on a new fictional nameless hero that the player will use to follow the three kingdoms period in ancient China.

 

Origins maintains the series trademark one versus a 1000 gameplay, with the player now able to give certain units commands such as ordering archer fire. The player is also able to swap to the perspective of another general on the battlefield temporarily during the fight when certain conditions are met.

Last Dynasty Warriors I played was 4 back on the PS2 I believe. Got tired of them just rehashing the same stuff over and over with very little improvements between each game. Felt like like Madden NFL games in that regard. But this one actually looks interesting and it's been so long since I've played DW that I may actually give this one a shot if they don't pump it full of microtransactions and day one dlc.
