PhoenixPress Posted October 6, 2018 Report Share Posted October 6, 2018 I think Melee and Smash 4 are sort of neck-and-neck... weirdly, most of the people who don't usually play video games seem to prefer Melee over the newer ones. It might be nostalgia, it might just be that they aren't familiar with newer ones, but I think there's a sort of... eh, hipster brownie points thing going on. DespairSing Posted October 12, 2018 Report Share Posted October 12, 2018 Melee is just a more technical game. There are a lot of ways in melee where a bad player can outclass a weaker one. What makes it a great esport title, but casually i dont think the older games bear any significant adventage. Maybe the Story mode from Brawl.
