Theme:

Freestyle

Rules

  • All entries are to be submitted by the 25th of each month.
  • Your entry must be related to the chosen theme.
  • Only one entry per participant. However, you may edit your entry until the deadline.
  • Wallpapers must be your own work.
  • Entries can be in GIF, JPG, JPEG or PNG format.
  • All wallpapers MUST have the dimensions of 1080p. [1920 x 1080]
  • Make them TEXTLESS. [The forums already are doing the text.]
  • Pre-made works are allowed, as long as they have not been used in a past Kametsu competition.
  • In addition to your entry, please also submit a theme idea for next month's competition.
  • Please read all Graphical Division Rules and Forum Rules before entering. All rules apply.
  • Only entries should be posted until voting begins. Anything besides entries and staff announcements will be treated as spam and will be deleted. Comments, criticism, and discussions should be saved for voting. Exceptions such as theme clarification will be allowed at the discretion of the Graphics Team.
  • Complaints about the theme will not be tolerated, as this is disrespectful to the previous winner. As such, these posts will be deleted.
  • Voting will be from the 26th of each month til the last day of each month.
  • When its comes to voting...DO NOT VOTE FOR YOURSELF!!!
  • The winner will not only have their theme chosen for the next contest but will also have their entry put into the wallpaper rotation on the forum themes that use wallpaper.

This is one of two new GFX contests that have been talked about for a while between some of the staff.  We are trying to get some new graphics to be used on the forum.  Freestyle is being used as a 'first' theme to get some interest. Right now will be ran monthly, but if it becomes to difficult to get people doing these contests then they will either be put on quarterly or removed all together.  I hope you all will take on the challenge.

Thank you,

Alice

How would you define freestyle? Wallpapers are my specialty, but I'm confused on what that meant, since freestyle could literally be anything.

That exactly what it means.  As long as it follows the rules....anything goes.  There is no other specified theme requirements.  Anything goes on this.

One -  Please check the size requirements in the rules for this contests

Two -  You have to post a theme for your entry to be accepted.  The point of theme is to be challenged.  I often to do theme I am not comfortable with as it challenges me to go outside my box and makes me a better artist because of it.
