GTA V - How do I get more precise aim?

I'm currently trying to get that silly 70% accuracy in the mission, Repossession. No matter what I do, my aim is way off, because the cursor is so imprecise.

 

Then I watch this video:

 

 

 

And I see a much better aiming cursor, and of course they get the accuracy they need. They even managed to get the guy off the bike before he took off, which helped their time.

 

Can anybody help me out here?
