I have recently started playing on the JP server and have so far found it to be a lot of fun

which handles everything related to english patching, it will also download the game for you as well

 

as for the english translation 95% of any information you need is translated most of the quest ending stuff and some other things arent translated well but so far i havent found much of anything that wasnt translated that posed a problem for me  the only issue i have is that you're only allowed two characters per account but unlike its ancestor you can choose at any time to become another class as many times as you want so not having as many characters isnt that much of an issue

 

EDIT: I figured after i woke up this morning that i didnt tell you that the English ship is Ship02:ur so you should definately play there

I played pso 2 back when the English patch first came out. But I had lost my data on my laptop. I forgot my login details. I was pretty far into the game as well.

damn that sucks at least you got to play earlier then i did, unfortunately the ip ban prevented me from playing for a full year
