I'm not so new to anime, I remember watching the first Fullmetal Alchemist when it was still airing...On that note, I'd recommend Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood! It's long (64 episodes) but it's a truly wonderful story!That's assuming you'd like something with action, anyway.Katanagatari (12 episodes, 50 minutes each) is also action but in a different way and has a lot more talking.
