TheLastOfUs
Most games are dying in terms of couch/local co-op. Sadly...
Dervell
People just dont get how much more fun it is to play co-op/competitive games from the same room, and is one of the reason console gaming is so appealing. Nowadays even Pc gamers are having large Lan parties, where they host and play multi-player games together. It's a shame that the foreseeable future for consoles holds mainly online co-op Edited December 8, 2014 by Dervell
J-Lord
As said above, the days of Local Co-Op are dying due to the online world booming. Which is a true shame as if you want to play with people in your house such as family and or friends you need them really to have another console and the same game which is much harder to do and costs $. That would be another reason behind the limiting of local co-op games. Local Co-Op will always be around, it is just becoming more rare with games. So far the best game I have the offers Local play is Killer Instinct but it isn't really Co-Op play.
Notoffensive
As said above, the days of Local Co-Op are dying due to the online world booming. You guys understand why this is the case right? >inb4somesaysdevsaregreedyandwantmorepeopletobuytheirgame The reason is because in shooting games (ex: Halo, COD, etc.) for each additional player the game has to completely generate a whole seperate map for that player to interact in. In essence the game runs multiple times, doing this limits what the game can do. By removing co-op you allow the system to perform under less strain which in turn makes for better performance. I was aware of this as well. And I agree about the whole world being regenerated schpeil as well. It's just the sad reality the games with local multiplayer are dying out.
