Kind of picky

I haven't seen a new good anime that I've loved in some time, and people say I'm kind of picky, but i don't think so!

I don't like anything too violent - this means anything with excessive blood is a no go. I'm also pretty much against most war type animes.

At the same time, I need something with a plot! I can't stand the animes that have absolutely no point at all, or something just for laughs. I'm also not a huge fan of the main character dying, but it's negotiable. I hope this doesn't narrow it down too much!

some animes i've seen and loved: black cat, soul eater, hunter x hunter, card captors sakura, all the digimon's, kuroshitsuji, dnangel, inuyasha, sailor moon, full metal alchemist, princess tutu, Ouran High School Host Club, gravitation, loveless, axis powers hetalia.

So, I do like a variety, I just need to find some that meet those standards

i also love a variety thats why my top 5 has a mix of alot of genres i recommend Pandora Hearts, D.gray-man, vampire knight, black cat, tegami bachi :3 hope this could help

Moon phase, fruits basket, mahoromatic are also some good ones.

Have you tried Lovely Complex or Toradora? They're relatively new in that there's no dub for them but these series are by far my favorite. It's heavily romance but the characters don't have that generic "oh look at me I'm so cute so of course we'll fall in love" vibe that a lot of anime can get sometimes. There also very funny in there own right.
