How to move Brushes, Gimp?

I just started gathering brushes for gimp, but I have a problem, I am not sure how to install them to gimp.

I thought I was using Snow Leopard version, I am actualy using 2.8.10 SL Lion ML version for Mac.

I was guessing I had to add brushes to recources, but...

I have no idea which file I should move the brush file to, aand I don't want to do the wrong thing and mess it up.

Can I get some help?

I don't get all that shit

If you downloaded that brushes, locate the directory gimp is in, for mac, I don't know how to explain. Then when you open the folder, locate the "brushes" folder and copy your downloaded brushes to that folder.

I can't explain properly, I'd be a lot better if you were using windows.

I run gimp on GNU/Linux, so aspects of what I write may different in your case.

Try checking for .gimp-2.8/brushes/ in your home directory, this gimp folder will be a hidden folder,

or perhaps in

/usr/share/gimp/2.0/brushes/

or similar.

Hope that's some help.
