Tsukumo Yuma
I just started gathering brushes for gimp, but I have a problem, I am not sure how to install them to gimp.I thought I was using Snow Leopard version, I am actualy using 2.8.10 SL Lion ML version for Mac.I was guessing I had to add brushes to recources, but... I have no idea which file I should move the brush file to, aand I don't want to do the wrong thing and mess it up. Can I get some help? † LimitLess
I don't get all that shit If you downloaded that brushes, locate the directory gimp is in, for mac, I don't know how to explain. Then when you open the folder, locate the "brushes" folder and copy your downloaded brushes to that folder. I can't explain properly, I'd be a lot better if you were using windows. † poetictragedy
As Kei stated, there should be a dedicated brushes folder. Try looking inside the bin and lib folders first.
johnintendo
I run gimp on GNU/Linux, so aspects of what I write may different in your case. Try checking for .gimp-2.8/brushes/ in your home directory, this gimp folder will be a hidden folder,or perhaps in/usr/share/gimp/2.0/brushes/or similar. Hope that's some help.
