How many posts do I need to access the downloads?

As of this posting, you need fifteen. If you see it stated otherwise elsewhere, please report it so it may be fixed. Accounts should automatically upgrade.

Please keep in mind that we also have downloads via the XDCC bot on IRC, which has no post requirement. I strongly recommend, if you are not interested in being part of the community and only want the downloads, to give the XDCC bot a chance. Of course, we would prefer it if you stuck around to hang out with us!

Let me know if that helps and/or if you have any further questions. Enjoy your stay!

Firstly, welcome to Kametsu, hope you enjoy your stay here even if it is just for downloads. Like EO said above you need 15 posts before you can do anything to your profile on here or download. The IRC bots are also a great source of anime and you can find everything you need to get started here:

Those links on that page will lead you to everything you need and the tutorial is pretty damn easy to follow. Once that's all set up you just go here:

If you read the tutorial properly you'll know what to do with that link I just put. So yeah welcome and there's some info for the IRC stuffz offered here

I'm not certain what you need help with? I would recommend starting with reading the FAQ and rules, which are linked up at the top in the navigation panel, as well as in my signature.

A forum is, essentially, a place where people hold discussions with each other. Kametsu has a focus in gaming and anime, but it also caters to creative discussion and presentations (the graphics division, the art and literature section, &c). We also encourage general discussion and sharing stories of one's day to day life.

Due to the structure of a forum, long term discussions are encouraged and easily held--the flow is typically slower than that of a chat room, but it is generally more in-depth, and conversations can be carried on regardless of when people are available to participate. This makes communicating with people on different schedules easier.

Less on the theory side of things, we do have help documentation on how to actually use the forum--things like creating topics and posts, and the like.

If you need any further information, please let me know what I can help you with.

Rules? Pfft, just post anything, the nastier the porn th... -feels EO's death glare already- Yeah scratch that, most of us come here to discuss topics, get advice or help on things or just talk about stuff in general. Majority of us are pretty friendly and on here often enough so as EO mentioned go read some rules and FAQS and then start posting, you might find some ppl end up talking to you or you get to make some friends.

Welcome, you've chosen a great place in my opinion. Like EO and Dark said, there are many things to do here, Anime discussions, Manga discussions, random discussions, stories, etc, etc. And this is a great place to make friends, I don't make friends easy, but even I made a great friend here, you just might too.

Well, hope you have fun, and enjoy your stay.

Happy surfing :)
