ruekk
Hey everyone, I've got an HP dv6 laptop and their notorious for having webcam issues. I figured out what is wrong, the connector that goes from my webcam to something else (not sure but i think its the motherboard, i haven't taken my laptop apart enough to find out) is loose. It falls out no matter how many times I plug it back in. So I was wondering, does anyone know of a way I could keep it in there? I was thinking like tape but I don't know if that would damage it. I do know that if my webcam got too hot, electrical tape would melt (happened to a friend of mine on another piece of hardware). Does anyone think masking tape would damage it, or maybe thermal tape, or even scotch tape?EDIT:What do you guys think about this: http://www.amazon.co...ds=thermal tape.Oh and hey if click the "Follow Topic" Button, will it instantly notify me by email when someone responds to this thread? Sorry for the dumb question, I'm not used to this forum setup. Edited October 9, 2012 by ruekk

Jªvª
I go with the thermal tape; just for the fact that if your computer does get 500 Degrees Fahrenheit you need a new computer anyway.Cause scotch tape will melt and is horrible conductor; same goes with masking tape. ZeroPenguins
I really don't think a webcam would go over 100C or even go above 50C for that matter. So I would use super glue hahaha. Cheap and easy.
