Hey guys.

Finally got a copy of Starcraft 2 Wings of Liberty, this game is awesome, I recommend it to anyone. This is my first game ever after versing a very easy bot :ewhz: and during the matchmaking/loading my mate who is semi-experienced gave me some tips on how to win in amateur games really quickly and effectively, also known as 'cheesing'. Tell me what you guys think

:ewhz:

If you don't understand, here's a break down:

- This is Practice League (This is where all the noobs start and is great for learning)

- In Practice League there are rocks protecting the entrance of your base only in PL but.

- My intial plan was to rush 2 SCV's (which can build things) other to his base and build two barracks out front and rush him, being 'cheese' or being a complete faggot in other words.

- Obviously I'm blocked by the rocks and luckily enough the guys I'm using (Terran) have a thing where they can make their buildings lift off (lol)

- So I start building Barracks and Silos (Silos - to sustain and greater the amount of men I can have)

- While building more SCV's to farm my minerals back at base

- Eventually I fly my barracks over to his part

- Surprisingly he's doing very well and he's doing pro moves lol

- Caught him off guard

- He panicked

- I just need to destroy all his buildings to win

- Rest is self explanatory

Thanks for watching guys, I seriously recommend this game, actually worth the investment.

Sc2 is ace!

You however suck :P I'm sure after a few games you will improve massively though.

Your cheese strategy may pay off a few times in the practice league, but even a high level bronze league player will be able to hold off a 2 rax rush like that.

And the guy you played was not doing any pro moves, haha. He walled in, which is the most basic move for terran, then after his wall built a depot outside of the wall... wtf. If you are walling why build buildings outside of the wall straight away? He also didn't need 3 supply depot so early so wasted 100 resources, which could have been 2 marines which would have held off your attack.

If you want to see how to play better watch some pro games. My fav caster is Husky.

Well said. But the walling he did their looked like he planned to double tier. Rookie mistake to think he can do it so early, but still a valid plan.

Cheesing isn't a very valid way of playing, as most players have encountered it, and/or know how to rip it a knew one. I would suggest doing an expansion before even trying to to rax them, and a much less direct route to the base. Imagine he was protoss and the rush failed, you'd get hounded by stalkers til your troops are either dead, or back at base. And watch out for overlords...if they see your rush prematurely, switch to a bunker rush. Otherwise you're going to have so many zerglings up your ass its ridiculous.

Hahah yeah I do, and I know it will only get me so far and I'm just gonna skip the practice league. Yeah I don't know really lol, but now that you've pointed it out, it makes sense. I'll check Husky out! Thanks man, I've been watching BoxeR and Idra a bit but yeah thanks :)
