This movie's close to the way Hard Candy or Cannibal Holocaust felt. Instead of trying to gross you out or make you jump in your seat, it tries to make you feel like you're sitting on barbed wire the entire time. It makes you uncomfortable and if it does a good job it legitimately disturbs you. The overall story is based on the torture of Sylvia Likens. It doesn't adhere completely to that story though.
