PS Vita

The Vita has no support for PS2 discs or PSP UMDs. The console has a whole new cartridge system to replace the old UMD system in the PSP and it also takes Proprietary Memory Cards to play any games on it. This is an anti-piracy method, but it basically made the system flop due to the high price tag of the Memory Cards ($40 or so for the smallest which is 4GB and I think $120+ for the largest, which is about 16GB, I think. The money mentioned is USD). The only PSP games you can play on it are those that can be downloaded from PSN and with the RemotePlay function, you can play anything that is on your PS3 hard drive or in its disc drive, or so I have heard.

bummer it doesn't play ps2 games , anyway thx guys for all your info I think I'm gonna order it too

If you like Taco Bell, I saw a commercial about them giving away PS Vitas before they come out in North America. If you win one you could sell it before they do come out in North America and make a nice profit XD

@raganwind.

How has the ps vita flopped when it hasnt even released outside of japan yet? And for the low sales in japan

is b/c they havent released a MH game for the handheld yet. But When they do sales will take off. And do you have a source for the 40$ for the 4gig card b/c at gamestop there selling for 20$./

They lowered the pries since the last time I checked. Those prices were the original prices. Now, the 4GB memory card is set for $25 and the 32FV is set for $100.

As for people asking about PS1, 2, and 3 games of the PS Vita, You can play them, but only if they are either on PSN OR your PS3 can play them, since RemotePlay now allows playing ANYTHING in the PS3's disc drive, as far as I have heard.
