† ballard
After a nightmare experience dealing with Asus customer service I need a new motherboard. I sent it to them and they're claiming they don't have it 2 weeks after Fedex claimed to have delivered it >.<...I need help looking for a new board. My only request is that it supports dual channel DDR3 1333 since I'd like to reuse my current hardware. (Beyond that any AM3+ board should support the rest of my parts without any issues.) I'd like to avoid Asus if at all possible. Does anyone know of any good AM3+ motherboards I could check out?I've been looking at this board. I've never used an msi motherboard before though, so I'm kind of iffy about it. Does anyone know if they're any good?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130632
ZeroPenguins
MSi brands are alright, that mobo looks fine. I actually prefer Gigabyte motherboards over any other company, and I'm surprise to hear that ASUS has bad costumer service, from what I heard from users is that ASUS is a really good brand and awesome customer service. Don't mind telling me your budget? Around 100 dollars I assume since that board cost about 90 bucks.
† ballard
At the moment my budget is around $100, but I'd be willing to save some money to be able to afford a more expensive board.Asus use to be my favorite brand to go with, but after what happened to me and a friend of mine I don't like them anymore unfortunately :\... ZeroPenguins
How about this?http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Motherboards+-+AMD-_-GIGABYTE-_-13128519Cheaper version:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128519&nm_mc=OTC-Froogle&cm_mmc=OTC-Froogle-_-Motherboards+-+AMD-_-GIGABYTE-_-13128519A friend of mines said the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 is good. Both of them support FX series and dual channel DDR3 1333MHz, but just the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 supports dual GPU the other one doesn't.

I've decided to go with that one rather than the msi board I was looking at previously. Thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. (Both of the links you posted are the same.)Sounds like a fedex problem to me.I thought that at first as well, but after contacting them and doing some digging around I know it's Asus's fault. Someone named AALLEN signed for it at the Asus repair center in Jeffersonville, IN.

† ballard
Getting another GTX 480 is really tempting with that motherboard. I'm so confused now XD... I'll need to look at some benchmarks to see if getting another 480 would be worth spending the extra money, or I could get the cheaper board and upgrade my graphics card when nvidia releases the 600 series. Then again... getting the more expensive board would even allow me to sli with the 600 series...
