Kora
Well my school is offering a manga class for students (Grades 9-12) and they couldn't find anyone to teach so I volunteered to be the new teacher. Problem is... I have no idea what to teach and the class starts tomorrow (Friday). What should I teach in the first lesson?
shyguysteve
well start by telling them where manga come from and what it means.then go into the different types of manga. Even give them some examples of the anime shows some might watch and how they were most likely manga first.

lemmingllama
You want to do history first. Most of the stuff you can probably pull of of Wikipedia or something. Then after that you want to get into drawing. Start off with easier stuff before you get to people. And make then understand that manga has a distinct look for drawing
Astarbum
i remember when i was learning to draw one of the most useful thing i learned was to throw lines first where everything should be(eyes, nose, shoulders, arms, etc) and shape them with geometrical figures into any pose you want, then add detail(choose the eyes for the character, type of hair, clothe, etc)... what i mean is the skeleton like figure wich you fill....Oh and proportions are very important...
