matidiaolo
I'll be brief. The anime that i've watched and liked are:Liked a lotCoyboy beebopFull Metal Alchemist (i prefer the first attempt than brotherhood)Hunter x HunterTrigunDarker than blackCode GeassLiked, but was not amazedElfen LiedFull metal Panic!Manga read and liked a lotDeath NoteI'm posting what i liked so that hopefully people with similar tastes propose something that will suite mine. I got Gungrave and Samurai Champloo ready to watch, but i'm planning ahead. If i had to describe my taste, i'd say that i like anime that include super-powers, are not so childish and got a script with good twists. From all 3, i choose the script as the most important.
lemmingllama
Very classy already having Samurai Champloo, excellent choice. I would say that if you want a smart anime then go for Eden of the East. For superpowers and script, honestly I would reccomend One Piece. Basilisk and Soul Eater would also be right up your alley. velocioraptor
One anime I really liked was Disgaea, if you still didn't watched it, you should! It's awsome ^^ And it's very small too, only 12 episodes, so it dosen't get boring ^^ Besides, it's an interisting story. There aren't that much superpowers, but laharl can make a purple light that explodes almost anything and Flone can summon a dragon
matidiaolo
I really dont have a problem with small series, even though I'd rather have something like 40-50 episodes.About One Piece, I am afraid since it's an ongoing anime with A LOT of episodes. In addition, i'm afraid that it might seem a little less mature than i usually prefer- correct me if i'm wrong. I feel that series with like 200+ episodes that never end, loose the point - you never get closure. Otherwise i'd watch both One Piece and Bleach..Basilisk and Soul Eater sort of are on my lists, though watching the latter's designs, i feel that they are a bit childish (again, correct me if i'm wrong). My biggest concern is that i feel like i've seen some very good series and i'm afraid there won't be more like them
lemmingllama
There are always good series out there, you just need to look sometimes to find them. If you want a really mature series, just try Black Lagoon. Absolute gold. But yes, both One Piece and Soul Eater are a big more childish. Really just try to find series that are 18+ and you should be fine.
