I don't know if I'm just doing it wrong or it just doesn't work. every time I blow into it no matter how hard or soft it just makes an annoying whistle like sound. Covering over any holes doesn't change the sound even slightly, Only by covering the back top hole it doesn't make any noise. But at least it's pretty, I got the blue one by random. Also, try checking your embacher, which is the way you position your mouth. It could be wrong, and that's why it's not playing. I have a 1-octave round ocarina, and I can play scales on it fairly easy, so a sweet potatoe ocarine should work if you have the right embacher. Go look up some tutorials on Youtube.
