Diablo
I have Windows XP SP3 OS installed on my system and use Opera browser. I use Windows Power option to automatically turn of my monitor after 2mins of inactivity. The problem is whenever I watch Youtube video or any other flv video on my browser the 'Power Scheme' stops working. Meaning after 2mins monitor goes standby for a second and again becomes active. Then I have to go in 'Power Options', change the power scheme and revert back to old scheme. This is getting extremely irritating to me. Anyone please give me a solution to this problem.Edit: I had similar problem earlier when I used VLC player, whenever I used VLC power scheme used to stop working. But I turned off some option(don't remember the name) and things started to work fine.
zolockit
Might be due to Hardware Acceleration. Not entirely sure. Try turning it off in flash options.
Diablo
Might be due to Hardware Acceleration. Not entirely sure. Try turning it off in flash options.Actually I installed Windows 7 recently so I don't have that problem anymore, but when I was using XP I did turn it off but whole video started to run laggy, so I turned it ON again. I don't think though acceleration might be causing any problem.

But it doesn't work perfectly, the monitor then turns back on.I kinda fail to see how this is a problem. In such a situation, you'd simply disable the option to turn off the monitor. If I've misunderstood the situation, feel free to correct me.

But to start the download I need to open the YouTube website at least once.3) I close my browser after the download starts, as the result monitor does not go in standby, it does go in standby for a second then wakes up immediately. This goes on every 2 mins.To solve this I have to change my Power Scheme and revert back the old Scheme, I have to do this each time I use Youtube or watch Flash based videos on any other website.
