salmun
This might be a dumb question since I don't know much about video stuff but here goes.I've downloaded Gundam 00, Durarara, and Dragon Ball Z from the forum, although they all said 720p I don't really know what that meant. all of these downloads I was able to convert to mp4 for my psp and without tweaking(mostly because I don't know the perfect settings for psp video) any settings on the converter the picture fit perfectly on my PSP screen without any black bars showing on the bottom or sides. But, thing is any other video I've downloaded that wasn't 720p when I converted those into mp4 they had bars showing on the bottom and or sides. so I was wandering If anybody knew the right settings for a psp video or a good video converter that converts videos into good quality but small size(MB) then that wold be great.. mando_22
If I understood your question right, What sounds like is happening is that the video you have is in a size that can't be scaled to fill 100% of your screen without distorting it. The 720p videos are 1280x720 which fits 16:9 (widescreen) perfectly, and most devices are made to scale that correctly to fill the screen. The same thing can happen with older dvd rips when played on a widescreen TV/Monitor, you'll note that there are black bars on the sides. Most often because it is a 4:3 instead of 16:9 ratio or some strange resolution.Anyway,Format Factory can convert videos between resolutions and has a selection of default profiles that are optimized for different devices including the PSP. Hopefully using those profiles can solve your problem.

ruekk
I dont know if this helps but if you use the iWisoft Free Video Converter it has some pre-set profiles you can use to convert it to the right format for your PSP.
