Just wondering if there are any other fans of this amazing series on these forums and what your opinions and thoughts on it were.

I personally found part 1 and the lost age to be two of the most interesting rpg's I have ever played from the puzzles, to the music, to the sheer size and lore of the world, it was as if even the most unimportant villages all had something interesting to tell you that contributed to your understanding of the gameworld. Part 3 on the otherhand I was a little dissapointed with, I still enjoyed it as much as the other two games, but the puzzles and the game in general were way too easy and 30 years is way too big of a timeskip imo and the new characters while I did like them, I'd have rather played as all of the original warriors of Vale without a huge timeskip, It pissed me off when most of them didn't even make an appearance here, I dunno I just think I would have just rathered they returned as the main heroes instead of a having a huge gap where we are basically left to guess what happened.

I Really loved the first 2 games. My opinion of the 3rd is essentially the same as yours... although the game seemed more like a precursor to something bigger. I thinks that's exactly what it is. It's a prequel to whatever comes next. I expect a huge story and more access to the world in the next game. If there is one...

Now back to the GBA games... GS:TLA was awesome! even after the game was finished, me and several of my friends continued to train our characters and battle them. I think all but three of the 8 characters on my game are maxed. Not sure... haven't booted the game up in a while. but once we all had at least 4 maxed characters. it became who had the best character class and the most items. It was alot of fun.

The secret to leveling in Golden sun Tla has always been to fight those blue pheonixes in Catastrophe's chamber, though even if you get 8000xp per battle it still took a damn long time to max everyone out. Also unless Camelot likes saying Fuck you to their fans, there has to be another game, though it will most likely be for the 3DS which means I'll have to get another console, let's just hope that this time they give it some priority and not keep us waiting for 7 years again lol.

That's true, a lot of people who I talk to have never seen, heard of or played Golden Sun, it's sad since it's probably one of the only gba games that pushed the limits of the hardware, even in Dark dawn there are times where you can see the Ds having problems keeping up with everything that's going on.

I haven't played the sequel to the two on the DS but there would no doubt be another game that comes along. However I don't think they'd be quick to throw it on the 3DS you know. 3DS is just fancy stuff and its not really that special is it?

I loved Golden Sun 1 to death, TLA not so much because I guess I played it to the point that it got stale - I think I got about halfway through it before I stopped playing it. The lore is amazing and the story is great. Plus the animations for Djinn summons were BOSS! Actually, the Djinns were what made me keep playing for so long - and the battle themes.

Nothing beats the feeling you get when you gather all the Djinn in TLA(without a walkthrough) and open the chamber, just to fight a boss who's harder than the actual last boss, for that Shiny last summon, felt better than completing your Pokedex in Pokemon. I only wish more Djinn other than Flint and Laurel's messenger in Dark Dawn actually talked though.

Lol, only two talked in Dark Dawn? I figured the entire game could've went full-voice since it was on DS, and it's a pretty late game considering the normal DS is put down and replaced by those 3DS.

I personally like the animations. I forget what the swords were called by there were a few weapons in GS1 that you can equip and there'd be a specific chance % to inflict the weapon's special ability. I.e. Ragnarok/Excalibur/Some Death Scythe (for Ivan) iirc those were something like that. I liked those because they were strong and the animations made it look so cool.

The Djinns were great too. I remember mixing Djinns around in GS1 and GS2 I think just to see what all the different summons were.

I managed to get pretty far into it, I'm surprised at the turn it took further in actually, it started pretty light hearted in my opinion, then next thing you know, you're in a village filled with dead people, and a girl dies pretty tragically, plus they even killed of a certain someone from Gs2 shortly after.
