→Speed←
What is the difference between ATI Stream Processing Units and NVIDIA Processor Cores besides the fact that NVIDIA Processor Cores are always a lower number than ATI Stream Processing Units? This has been bugging me for a long time lol so anyone is welcome to help answer this. Asch
Well, a matter of nomenclature and difference on architecture, ATI Stream Processing Units are incomplete shader and vertex only units, not even cores(like many things in a core, but not itself a standalone unit) but NVIDIA Processor Cores are complete cores and self sufficient processioning units which can work as standalone unit[more like the cores in a main processor], that is the biggest difference I can think of, rest is just a marketing logic used by ATI xD, cause the cores in nvidia gpu are much more versatile than the "cores" of an ATI gpu.
