This is hard to say considering most of them still haven't used their 100% effort. (I am assuming at least)From what I've seen, maybe Aizen. If he doesn't count for (SPOILER) the other Shinigami, then I guess I'll pick Kenpachi because he is the "strongest". I don't know . . . Retsu (Regarded as one of the strongest AND smartest captains.)3.) Aizen (Well, yeah)4/5.) Ukitake and Kyoraku (I believe they are evenly matched)6.) Ichigo (He beat the rest of the captains in battle.)7.) Byakuya (Puts up a lot of endurance and power in battle)8.) Kenpachi (Because of murderous strength)9.) Mayuri (Too scaringly smart and tacticle in battle)10.) Gin (Swiftness and cunning along with range advantage)11.) Soi Fon (She is strong, has a ridiculous Bankai, and is the fastest Captain)12.) Toshiro (Very strong in battle for his age)13.) Tosen (Scary Bankai, but as we saw with Kenny, not full-proof enough)14.) Komamuri (Honestly, compared to the others, very lack-luster abilities and intelligence)As a side note, Soi Fon is my absolute favorite character!!!! I saw a lot of people put her really low on the list, and I think I know why. We've never seen her fight. Fair enough. But actually, a lot of people don't realize that she's actually supposed to be scary powerful (a blend of strength, smarts, and beauty), a master of kendo (yep, she's regarded as one of the best when it comes to swordmanship...I'm serious!!!), and a bunch of other things. She is, after all, one of the oldest captains, possibly older than Ukitake and Kyoruku (or at least the same age). A lot of this information comes from the official character fanbooks, so maybe a lot of people don't know about that. In the fanbook, it gives stats (stuff along the line of strength, agility, cleverness, etc.) to all the characters, and Unohana is actually tied with Aizen for the highest total. Yep, even higher than Yamamoto. And let's not forget, Unohana is the one person Kenpachi's afraid of, or something like that. That's saying something! LOL (Actually, the running joke is that everyone's scared of her!!!)But it's okay and all. Not everyone knows all that stuff about her. Like I said, she never fights, so I don't expect everyone to know. I'm sure a lot of people are basing it on what they know, so I can't blame them. She really should have had a fight so we can see her in action. I would have loved to see it. So anyway, I just wanted to share all that for the people who didn't know how awesome she really is (well supposed to be, anyway...that's Tite Kubo's intention). Yamamoto Genryuusai Shigekuni [No doubt.. Though he's old, still think he's the strongest]2. Zaraki Kenpachi [i think he could be stronger than this.. But well, since he couldn't performed Bankai, so he's number 2 that is..]3. Kuchiki Byakuya [Cuz he's awesome, and that would be it.]4. Hitsugaya Toushirou [This is pure a subjective answer.. Well, I'm his fans, so I just have to put him here~ But hey, he's young and he's a captain.. A strong one for that.. Don't you think he'll be so much stronger when he's older ?]5. Kyouraku Shunsui [He's a senior.. I think he just doesn't showed his skills that much so he doesn't looked so strong..]6. Ichimaru Gin [He's a villain. But he's strong.. And somehow, I have a feeling that he's naughtier than Aizen..]7. Komamura Sajin [i guess, I'm judging him by his appearance ?]8. Soi Fong [Her skills were still rather raw from my opinion.. I believe she could be stronger in the future..]9. Tosen Kaname [Well, I don't have much to say here..]10. Unohana Retsu [i think she's actually stronger than she looks.. But, dunno, I just can't get the impression of her battling the hard way..]11. Kurotsuchi Mayuri [He mainly fight with his crazy scientific ways.. He's strong in his own way, but well, he's still, a scientist after all..]12. Ukitake Juushirou [i believe he's actually much much stronger.. Maybe around Kyouraku's level..
