Square, Squaresoft, and Enix all made great games before they became one entity known as Square-ENIX. Squaresoft is Square, as far as I know, also, but Square changed their name to Squaresoft, before merging into Square-ENIX. For those who prefer FPS games, War games, sports, etc. it may not have an effect, but most RPGs started out with inspiration from their titles. Most RPGs that I know of have very similar elements to those found in games by all of the involved companies. Even some strategy games do. It all depends on what type of games the players play, though, for if it would impact their gaming career, with or without the companies. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
