Xbox 1080p

Hey guys, problem here

A couple of days ago, I went to a friend's house with my Xbox 360. He's got an Elonex TV, close to 40 inches which does full 1080p. At least, it does 1080p in the past whenever I brought over my PS3.

However, when I brought over my Xbox, I plugged in the HDMI cable, went over to settings, and I couldn't even select the option to do 1080p. I could only do 1080i. The cable was new, only a couple of months old, and as I said above, the TV does do 1080p.

When at my own place, the Xbox is plugged into my 19 inch Agora TV, which only does 1080i.

So...does anyone have any idea why a 1080p capable TV couldn't do it?

Have you tried doing 1080p with component?
