Who Is the Better Phoenix?

Who does everyone think makes the better Phoenix from Marvel comics? Jean Grey, the original, or her daughter from the future Rachel during her stint as a member of Excalibur? Personally, I always preferred Rachel for some reason, though I can't exactly say why. Maybe Jean just seemed to have less character to me during her time originally as Phoenix while Rachel seemed much better developed. Or maybe it's because I just loved Excalibur, Generation X, and New Mutants more than I did the mainstram X-Men series. DOn't get me wrong, X-Men is an awesome comic and I love it.
