New Member Intro

Hi!

I just joined the site, and want to get right to my first post!

 

I have been an anime fan since I was about five years old. The first anime I ever saw that I knew was "anime" and that it was Japanese, and that that was a thing, was Vampire Hunter D. I am incapable of claiming a single favorite anime, because there are so many. A few important ones to mention are The Wings of Honeamise, Macross Plus, Evangelion, Akira, Castle of Cagliostro, Mononoke Hime, Ranma 1/2, Ghost in the Shell, The Hakkenden, The Heroic Legend of Arislan... ... I could go on and on.

 

I joined the site mostly in search of older shows and OAVs (they used to be called OAVs rather than OVAs so that's still the way I prefer to refer to them), and movies from the 80s and 90s. Unfortunately, I don't have an account with any of the private anime torrent trackers, but this community seems like a pretty incredible resource. I'm also missing 2 episodes of Regular Show in 1080p, so maybe I can track those down here as well.

 

That's about it for now! Just wanted to get my first post out there, and get searching and posting elsewhere in the forums!

 

If anyone has any recommendations on where to find high quality subtitled rips of anime from the 80s and 90s (most of which I already own on VHS) that would be awesome! I know this isn't specifically the place to post such a request, but just thought that I would add that that's the kind of thing I'm looking out for.
