Dervell
The Black Clover stage event at Jump Festa announced on Sunday that Yūki Tabata's Black Clover manga is getting a television anime series by Studio Pierrot. Viz Media's Weekly Shonen Jump Twitter account additionally added that the anime will premiere in 2017. Ryotaro Okiayu hosted the event with Tabata and idol Honoka Akimoto (a Black Clover fan) as guests. The combined second and third 2017 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine had teased on Monday that the manga would have a "super important announcement" at the stage event. Tabata began the series in Weekly Shonen Jump in February 2015. Viz Media publishes the Black Clover manga in North America digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and also in print. The anime will get a DVD release bundled with the manga's 11th volume on May 2. XEBEC animated the 27-minute episode, which adapts the manga's first chapter and stars Shun Horie (Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation's Seiya Urisaka) as Asta and Sōma Saitō (Haikyu!!'s Tadashi Yamaguchi) as Yuno. Synopsis: SHONEN JUMP's breakaway hit of 2015, a fantasy action-adventure about mastering magical powers. Asta is a young boy who dreams of becoming the greatest mage in the kingdom. Only one problem – he can't use any magic! Luckily for Asta, he receives the incredibly rare five-leaf clover grimoire that gives him the power of anti-magic. Can someone who can't use magic really become the Wizard King? One thing's for sure – Asta will never give up!
