Partly because the dubbed voice acting isn't atrocious, but in that regard your best bet is Samurai Champloo. And although it does pale in comparison, Samurai 7 is an adaptation of one of the greatest stories ever told in Japanese cinema - Kurosawa's Seven Samurai.
