Using US psn account in AUS

Well, since my country is becoming a nanny country with refused classifications of games (latest being hotline miami 2) and also plans to censor the internet, I'm thinking about switching to a US psn account.

I don't play multiplayer games, nor do I download dlc since I've heard things like those are region restrictive. The only problem is payment related. I've already setup a US account, but i'm not sure if psn will accept my paypal.

I know I can just go to amazon and buy psn cards there, but I don't want to go to all that hassle.

Is it worth it? Or is it just a huge hassle?

Short answer, no, you can't use paypal for a US PSN account, there are ways to do so though, but as you've somewhat stated it is bothersome and rather time consuming.
