How can I connect my PS3 to the Internet without Ethernet cord?

1. Go to Settings


 


2. Scroll down and select Network Settings


 


3. Scroll down and select Internet Connection Settings


 


4. Select Easy then Select Wireless


 


5. Seclect Scan, find your wifi


 


6. just go next on everything until to Save Settings and Test Connection


 


You should be done :D

It says it requires Ethernet.

That's unusual it shouldn't do that. Try "Custom" if it keeps giving you the same message then I would say its a Hardware problem.


 


If you barely bought it, exchange it for another, if not use its warranty, send it to sony to be fixed (May take a few weeks) or a local electronic repair store (Faster but will cost).

I bought it since launch day (it's full black, no chrome rim and it had 20GB of storage when I bought it). I was using Ethernet for awhile but the place I moved into doesn't have any place for me to plug in Ethernet.

The custom thing doesn't work either. You sure there isn't a wireless adapter for it?

100% sure all PS3 systems are built with wireless adapter.

 

nvm, appearently the very first PS3 system like yours did not come with built in wifi.

so you might want and go to an electronic store and ask what adapter can work with the ps3 or buy a powerline av adapter which I think its the best choice IMO
