Wii U overtakes Xbox 360 lifetime sales in Japan

Whoa whoa whoa, Xbox360, lost to WiiU, the same console who manufactures claim to be a huge FLOP, beat Xbox previous console. Arent you sure its XBOX ONE that lost instead.

The Xbox 360 never was very popular in Japan compared to the rest of the world. The Wii U has beat the 360 it in Japan but the rest of the world the 360 still has a very large lead. Speaking globally the Wii U has more units installed than the Xbox One but that might not last because the Wii U has been out a year longer.

Some considered the Wii U a flop initially but with recent releases and the upcoming roster for 2014 it has been picking up more than some thought it capable of doing. I would say the unpopularity of the new Xbox has worked in its favor and added tailwind.

i just can't understand it, with the capability and resources Microsoft have they could easily build a high end console.

85% of the Xbox One games are round 720p with 30fps, whilst the ps4 has 60fps and 1080p. they had 7 years the time to make this massive console and they failed miserably.

Zelda Windwaker HD is 1080p 60fps (currently out now), Bayonetta 2 and Mario Kart 8 are also suppose to be. It all really comes down to how well you program the games. The hardware is important but alot of it is in the programming.

lol @ 85% name me 1 game where the performance gap is so big between the 2 console's ?

There is only 1 Xone exclusive game that runs @ 720p 30fps (Dead Rising 3) and even if it was multi plat the PS4 would maybe run it @ 900p 30fps but not 1080p 60fps

IMO there both low to medium end PC's. and I'm no fanboy either

some examples

Watch Dogs

PS4  900p 30fps

Xone 792p 30fps

Battlefield 4

PS4  900p 60fps

Xone 720p 60fps

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

PS4  1080p 30fps

Xone 900p 30fps

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition

PS4  1080p 60fps

Xone 1080p 30fps

Need for speed Rivals

PS4  1080p 30fps

Xone 1080p 30fps

what I'm trying to is say is there are no multi platform games where to performance gap is as big as you are saying (1080p 60fps / 720p 30fps)

It would be a different game all together on the PS4, think similar to NG2 from the 360 to PS3 where the amounts of enemies destroyed the performance on the PS3 because Hayashi is a hack and doesn't know how to make a game for his life so he limited the amount of enemies that showed up on screen at any given time.

The reason for this is because DR3 utilized the Azure cloud, which is possible on the PS4 too as Sony has the tech and servers but I doubt they loan those out to devs for free like MS probably did for this game as they both paid and published it.

Also, Infamous Second Son was 30fps. Don't see how that makes it any lesser or better of a game.
