Skyrim-Mages

Hello everyone, I'm asking for some advice today on Skyrim mage builds and how to boost my Magicka to the max level.

This is about my millionth character, I had another mage but thanks to Skyrim's start a new game and overwrite another save system I lost her.

This is what I've got so far:

Rain

Level 6

Destruction based mage, fire damage

High Elf

Female

The perks I've bought so far are three in destruction:

The original one to make my novice spells cost less and then my apprentice ones too and I bought augmented flames lvl 1 to give me 25% more fire damage.

The other perks I bought are the novice Conjuration spell one for my ward spells and the novice alteration one for my oak and stoneflesh spells.

Yep that's right, 5 perks all done.

Okay, my Magicka is sitting at 320 I think. I'm wearing a novice hood, apprentice destruction robes and a necklace of julianos for an extra ten Magicka. Like I said before I've made a mage before so DO NOT tell me about what clothes and stuff I need. I already know all that, unless you know some epic piece I can get around level six that isnt from the college quests.

My issue is how to build up my perks for my mage to make her have HIGH Magicka and be able to cast literally any spell. I've been looking at the Restoration school, merely for the perks that give me faster magicka regen. So what I need help with is what perks should I go with, I plan on raising her to lvl 40 within the next few days to catch up to my male warrior character.

Weapons wise she doesn't use any, being a destruction mage. I've also considered doing enchanting to get it to lvl 100 so I can then boost up my magical clothing and also add 2 effects to anything I want to, for example gaunlets and boots that my mage would wear, oh and a ring and necklace. The college questline will give me some decent stuff like master and arch mage robes so I can wear those and an adept hood or w.e it is.

So yeah, thanks in advance for any help you give me on this matter =)

I have a mixed character as well and he does quite well, he doesnt have the magicka to dish out a lot of spells but he has enough to toss a decent damaged fireball at someone and follow up with blade attacks or his bow. If you plan to go full mage make sure to choose one of the mage classes and you're better off restarting too.
