RikuoAmero
Okay guys, I've been watching Video Games Awesome, just finished watching all 51 episodes of their Heavy Rain playthrough.I've been thinking of doing a Let's Play, so I'm looking for ideas. Should I do a solo Let's Play? Or should I do multi-player, get group-chat in Skype and record everything? What games should I/we play?Just to let you know, I will NOT be playing Baldur's Gate, at least not with Kametsu. I'm waiting for the Enhanced Edition to come out and then playing that online with a bunch of Frenchys. Hopefully, they'll be cool with me recording it - maybe I'll call the series "An Irish-man and some French-men walk into Candlekeep Bar..."I will also NOT play Portal 2. I'm currently in the middle of doing co-op play with a friend, and the game just won't be as fun if I start playing with some-one else.I do have a decent length library on Steam, most of which I've never played. I would like to try Magicka (I have all the DLC); I did try co-op once, but I had problems. I ended up having to use Hamachi to connect to my friends, but still suffered internet disconnections. I haven't suffered disconnects in quite a while, so I'd be willing to give it a shot.If doing multi-player, we'll have to work on a schedule. I'm in Dublin, Ireland, so that means GMT 0. Whenever I'm finished work, I'll be free at any time. So shoot me your ideas. One thing I would LOVE to do would be to rip off VGA, and have a chat-box at the bottom of the screen, preferably the IRC.For the pilot episode, I'd prefer to do something that is clearly a once-off, not just start a story driven game and then stop at the start. Something that will last say 10 or 15 mins, then once we all know what we're doing, start doing a full series of whatever game it is we pick. For recording software, I can go with Fraps, but I'd prefer something a little more advanced. I do have a cracked copy of Camtasia somewhere in my computer, but I haven't used it in over a year. What do you guys think? What software should I use?Regarding game choice, I want to do gameplay on highest settings at 720p minimum, but the game picked shouldn't be so demanding that there are slowdowns at highest settings while recording. My rig should be able to handle anything though. Once I've posted this, I'll test a few games and see what they come out as.
