Seeing UV Light

I just wanted to note that I was doing the red background/green background thing and Java, who is sitting across from me, goes, "What the HELL are you doing?" My reply: "I'm doing SCIENCE." SO THANKS FOR THAT.

It certainly is interesting. I read an article a little while ago about them trying to "cure" colour-blindness in monkeys. A lot of linguists in the Air Force tend to be colour blind because apparently it's the coolest job they can do thanks to their limitations. I've never known so many colour blind people until I joined the military, haha.

I love stuff like this, especially about how our brains dont actually see what our eyes see. Just goes to show that we are crazy... Also, one little part of this blew my mind.

An impossible color is a color that can’t be expressed using other colors. As an example, try visualizing a color made from red and green (not the mixture of the two pigments, which would be brown, but a hypothetical color “reen” made from elements of each).
