Jobs(in the US)

First off I would like to say the only reason why this thread is specified to the US is because my entire family lives in the US. With that being said, any information about jobs in any other country would be welcome.

The main purpose of this thread will be to have people that live in different areas to communicate about their local jobs, how much the jobs pay, what the job details are, what the average cost of living in that area is, etc. This will hopefully provide many more people besides me to be able to move to better places.. and start having better lives.

I hope to have many people posting in this thread, not just for me.. but for anyone and everyone that is looking for(or wanting) a job(or a better life) and place to live. One thing that would be cool is to have a template for the information much like most people in kametsu use for video info, but it is not required. An example of this template is shown below.

Country: United States

State: Illinois

Town: Polo

Areas average cost of living: 500 usd per month

Areas average job pay: current minimum wage - 8.25 usd per hour

Local jobs: there are 4 bars, 2 gas stations, 1 dollar general, and 5 restaurants(all minimum wage and no open jobs)

The above would be a basic template and if anyone that is going to contribute to this thread decides to use a template you may add(but not subtract) categories to the above template. I look forward to seeing/talking about what jobs and where they are from hopefully many different people!

Country: Canada

Province: British Columbia(known for it's beauty and mountains)

Town: Williams Lake

Areas average cost of living: 500-600 for apartments we pay 900 for a one floor 3 bedroom house, my brother pays 500 for a crappy 2 bedroom.

Areas average job pay: Our minim wage is around 8.75 but most places will pay you more. My new job is going to pay me $10 training wage and I'll get a raise in 3 months my current job pays me 9.33

Local jobs: at least 5 restaurants, there's more but I don't know if they hire. 3 big stores like Safeway, Save on's and Walmart. There's also all the Mill's and the Mine.

So yeah lots but you have to have the experience to get in. It took me a month to get this new job of throwing resumes everywhere I only got in because someone there knew me from my job and recommended me
